Medan Ministry
March 2-8, 2009
Writing this update makes me feel a little like the old children's learning software, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. This week I am in Medan, on the western end of the island of Sumatera.
I had the priviledge of sharing in two different venues. The Sumatera Theological School (our A/G Bible college in Medan), invited me to teach a general course on leadership. Around 35 students attended the class, some from the Medan area, others pastors who came in from other cities in the district.
On Wednesday and Thursday, I had the opportunity to share in a ministers' seminar with around 80-90 ministers from the district. It was a very enjoyable time. On the first day, I shared the basic principles of Natural Church Development, emphasizing the need for all churches to continue to monitor their church health. On the second day, I shared on the subject of building trust.
